Song of Solomon 2:1...”I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys."

In the Christian tradition, there are several references which lovingly call Jesus the "Rose of Sharon." From the Christmas hymn "Lo, a Rose E'er Blooming", to the poem by Elizabeth Ricard entitled "One Perfect Rose", to the poem and hymn, "Jesus, the Rose of Sharon" by Ida Guirey, all extol the beauty and character of the Savior. This design was partially inspired by Guirey's poem "Jesus, Rose of Sharon." The first stanza reads...”Jesus, Rose of Sharon, bloom within my heart; Beauties of the Truth and holiness impart, that where'er I go my life may shed abroad, fragrance of the knowledge of the love of God."

Metallic accents: Antique silvertone / gunmetal

Length: approximately 19 inches

Composition: The small hand carved leaves are green Aventurine; the 6mm and 4mm iridescent rounds are Laboradite; the 4mm x 6mm rice shaped beads are Blue Aventurine. The 19mm hand carved roses are Yellow Turquoise. The central 30mm x 22mm cross pendant is dyed Agate. Comes pre-boxed with information on the stones in the piece under the cotton liner. Matching pierced earrings included.
