Design No: LECFR  "LASER-ETCHED FROG CUBE"

Cool lead crystal cube with 3-D depiction of a generic species of frog inside. Of the nearly 2,700 species of frogs and toads known, only 9 different ones occur in North America. So, you can pretend this one is your favorite species. And, it's neither rubbery nor slimy nor warty like a real one, and is easy care all the way around. In reality, they are useful creatures, as they are carnivorous and eat insects and garden pests! The pretty crystal cube measures approximately 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches on all sides. The mysteriously laser-carved figure inside is visible from all angles, and is quite a piece of artwork. The cube comes pre-boxed for gift giving, and is quite a conversation piece. It weighs about 6 ounces, unboxed.

One image shows a side view of the frog as it swims toward the water’s surface. The other image is a view of the amphibian from above the water, like it might be seen by a hungry Sandhill Crane. The cube also has a flattened corner surface to rest on showing the frog performing water ballet. That view was too hard for this photographer to capture. Very interesting!

We did not create this item, and the manufacturer didn't tell us how the artist engraved this image inside without any residual glass etchings present, so we don't know how it was done, but it is quite curious. This may be the question of the hour....'how did they do that????' Do you have an explanation?????
