Cool lead crystal cube with 3-D depiction of our wonderful planet, the third one from the Sun! Etched with detailed meridians and poles, as well as continents and islands, this truly is an interesting conversation piece. The pretty crystal cube measures approximately 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches on all sides. The mysteriously laser-carved figure inside is visible from all angles, and is quite a piece of artwork. The cube comes pre-boxed for gift giving, and is quite a conversation piece. It weighs about 6 ounces, unboxed.

The image having the sky blue border, depicts the cube as it lays on the European side; with the Americas plainly showing. The image having the ocean green border, depicts a semblance of what it would look like if viewed from an angle, showing one of the poles. The flattened corner of the cube is the proper surface for the cube to rest on but that view was too hard for this photographer to capture. Very interesting!

We did not create this item, and the manufacturer didn't tell us how the artist engraved this image inside without any residual glass etchings present, so we don't know how it was done, but it is quite curious. This may be the question of the hour....'how did they do that????' Do you have an explanation?????
